【摘要】:Depositsinpipingfromaqueousprocessstreamsserveasanindicatoroffouling,corrosionorscaling.Rapidtechniquesofanalysisareusefulinidentifyingthenatureofthedepositsothatthereasonfordepositioncanbeascertained.Possibletreatmentschemescanbedevisedtopreventdepositionfromreoccurring.Depositsformedfromorbywaterinallitsphasesmaybefurtherclassifiedasscale,sludge,corrosionproductsorbiologicaldeposits.Theoverallcompositionofadepositorsomepartofadepositmaybedeterminedbychemicalorspectrographicanalysis;theconstituentsactuallypresentaschemicalsubstancesmaybeidentifiedbymicroscopeorXray.1.1Thesepracticesprovidedirectionsforthepreparationofthesampleforanalysis,thepreliminaryexaminationofthesample,andmethodsfordissolvingtheanalyticalsampleorselectivelyseparatingconstituentsofconcern.1.2Thegeneralpracticesgivenherecanbeappliedtoanalysisofsamplesfromavarietyofsurfacesthataresubjecttowater-formeddeposits.However,theinvestigatormustresorttoindividualexperienceandjudgementinapplyingtheseprocedurestospecificproblems.1.3Thepracticesincludethefollowing:SectionsPreparationoftheAnalyticalSample8PreliminaryTestingoftheAnalyticalSample9DissolvingtheAnalyticalSample101.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Foraspecificwarningstatement,seeNote2.
