MIL-STD-449D, MILITARY STANDARD: RADIO FREQUENCY SPECTRUM CHARACTERISTICS MEASUREMENT OF (23 FEB 1973) [SUPERSEDING MIL-STD-752]., This military standard establishes uniform measurement techniques that areapplicable to the determination of the spectral characteristics oftransmitters, receivers, and antennas.The data obtained from the measurements described in this standard willcomprise one of the principle aids for, (a) predicting the EMC performanceof equipment, subsystems and systems in an operational electromagneticenvironment, and (b) predicting the effect of a particular equipment,subsystems, or systems on the electromagnetic environment of otherequipments or systems. These data will also be used as aids forestablishing the characteristics required of new equipment for compatibleoperation in present and future electromagnetic environment.
