【摘要】:Forusersormanufacturersofthermocouples,thistestmethodprovidesameansofverifyingtheemf-temperaturecharacteristicsofthematerialpriortouse.Thistestmethodcanbeusedtocalibrateathermocoupleforuseasareference,oritcanbeusedtocalibratethermocouplesrepresentingabatchofpurchased,assembledthermocouples.ThistestmethodcanbeusedfortheverificationoftheconformanceofthermocouplematerialstotemperaturetolerancesforspecificationssuchasthetablesinSpecificationE230orotherspecialspecificationsasrequiredforcommercial,military,orresearchapplications.1.1Thistestmethoddescribestheprinciples,apparatus,andprocedureforcalibratingthermocouplesbycomparisonwithareferencethermometer.Calibrationsarecoveredovertemperaturerangesappropriatetotheindividualtypesofthermocoupleswithinanoverallrangefromapproximatelyx2212;195to1700x00B0;C(x2212;320to3100x00B0;F).1.2Ingeneral,thistestmethodisapplicabletounusedthermocouples.Thistestmethoddoesnotapplytousedthermocouplesduetotheirpotentialmaterialinhomogeneityx2014;theeffectsofwhichcannotbeidentifiedorquantifiedbystandardcalibrationtechniques.Thermocoupleswithlarge-diameterthermoelementsandsheathedthermocouplesmayrequirespecialcaretocontrolthermalconductionlosses.1.3Inthistestmethod,allvaluesoftemperaturearebasedontheInternationalTemperatureScaleof1990.SeeGuideE1594.1.4Thisstandardmayinvolvehazardousmaterials,operationsandequipment.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatoryrequirementspriortouse.

【摘要】:Thistestmethodisusedtomeasuretheeffectivenessofbondingroller-compactedconcretetootherroller-compactedconcreteorotherhardenedcementitiousmixturesbyusingapointloadtestatthejoint.Bondstrengthisdeterminedusingdrilledcoresorcastcylindricalspecimensinwhichthebondsurfaceisessentiallynormaltothelongitudinalaxisatapproximatelythemid-lengthofthespecimen.Asplittingtensilestressnormaltothebondsurfaceisproducedbyapplyingapointloadatthejoint.Thistestmethodmaybeusedeitherforlaboratoryinvestigationbycastingindividualcompositecylindersorbycoringprototypestructuresorassemblies(TestMethodC42/C42M).1.1Thistestmethodisintendedfortestingroller-compactedconcretespecimensandcoversdeterminationoftherelativebondbetweenlayersofroller-compactedconcreteorotherhardenedconcreteinmultiple-liftformsofconstruction.Itisapplicabletoalltypesoflayeredconcretewherethetotaldepthissufficienttomeettheminimumspecimenlengthanddiameterrequirementsofthistestmethod.Thistestmethodisnotintendedtoprovidetensilestrengthresultsofthematerialtested.1.2ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorinch-poundunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemmaynotbeexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnon-conformancewiththestandard.1.3Thetextofthisstandardreferencesnotesandfootnotes,whichprovideexplanatorymaterial.Thesenotesandfootnotes(excludingthoseintablesandfigures)shallnotbeconsideredasrequirementsofthisstandard.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
