【摘要】:Vaporpressureisafundamentalthermophysicalpropertyofaliquid.Vaporpressuredataareusefulinprocessdesignandcontrol,inestablishingenvironmentalregulationsforsafehandlingandtransport,forestimationofvolatileorganiccontent(VOC),andinderivinghazardassessments.VaporpressureandboilingtemperaturedataarerequiredforMaterialSafetyDataSheets(MSDS).Theenthalpyofvaporizationmayalsobeestimatedfromtheslopeofthevaporpressurecurve(SeePracticeE2071).1.1Thistestmethoddescribesaprocedureforthedeterminationofthevaporpressureofpureliquidsormeltsfromboilingpointmeasurementsmadeusingdifferentialthermalanalysis(DTA)ordifferentialscanningcalorimetry(DSC)instrumentationoperatedatdifferentappliedpressures.1.2Thistestmethodmaybeusedforthetemperaturerange273to773K(0to500x00B0;C)andforpressuresbetween5kPato2MPa.Theserangesmaydifferdependingupontheinstrumentationusedandthethermalstabilityofmaterialstested.Becausearangeofappliedpressuresisrequiredbythistestmethod,theanalystisbestservedbyuseofinstrumentationreferredtoashighpressuredifferentialthermalinstrumentation(HPDSCorHPDTA).1.31.4ThereisnoISOstandardequivalenttothistestmethod.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
